We believe great care is about being happy and fulfilled, doing more of what matters and staying connected to other people in your life; as well as getting the basics right.
Allied Hands support people to do more of what matters to them, whether that’s support to maintain current hobbies and relationships or connecting to new people and trying out new things.
How we make this happen
During the initial conversation when we develop your care plan together, we capture as much information as possible about you, so that we fully understand what wellbeing means to you.
Every person we support has a six week review to ensure that they are receiving the care and support they need and discuss any changes that may need to happen.
As part of this review, we offer the further opportunity for you to connext to individuals and/or groups for friendship to develop your interests.
We talk through all the options available in the community e.g. support and community groups, befriending services etc which are tailored to your interests.
We are also able to make referrals to a variety of organisations, such as Age UK Wellbeing Co-ordinators, Day Centres, befriending services and Carer support groups on behalf of the individual, with their consent.
